Jb Carlin – Director
Fascinated with the Detroit music scene and armed with a super 8mm camera, Jb started his career at the ripe age of 12 when he would sneak around backstage. After graduating from Columbia College’s extensive film program, with the strong support of both the music scene and the advertising community, Jb has developed a reputation for having a unique style that combines stunning imagery, subtle concepts, and compelling performances where he innately captures the human condition.
Jb’s passion for music and film paid off when he made his music video directing debut with Kid Rock’s “Picture” music video featuring Sheryl Crow. It was nominated for Best Video at the 2003 CMT Music Awards and was #3 for the year on VH1, where it ran for seven consecutive weeks at the #1 spot.
Jb’s roster of work includes: U.S. Navy, Jeep, Partnership for a Drug-Free America, Cingular Wireless, Comcast Cable, plus many more.
