Jb Carlin, Director

Jb started his career directing music videos and commercials for Crossroads Films before joining up with Drive Thru in 2004 where he continues to strive for creative originality, integrity and excellence. Over the past ten years, Jb has developed a strong reputation for having a unique style combining stunning imagery, subtle stories, and compelling performances.


Jb’s directed 100’s of commercials for clients such as: US Navy, Chevy, TNT, tbs, Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Lincoln, American Family Insurance, Two Men and A Truck, Partnership For A Drug-Free America, Cingular Wireless, Comcast Cable, The Detroit Zoo, Aldi Grocery Stores, Markor Home Furnishings China, Marshfield Clinic, plus many more.


Jb has worked with talent such as: Alfred Molina, Ving Rhames, Kyra Sedgwick, Cindy Crawford, Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow, Eminem, Jason Lee, Andy Dick, Simon Baker, George Lopez, and many more.


Jb graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2001 with a BA in directing and a minor in screenwriting.
